The Legend of Dogman

The Legend began as a simple April Fools Day prank on WTCM Radio, but since then has become forever woven into the culture and folklore of Michigan. The year 2012 was the 25th Anniversary of the song, and we celebrate the silver anniversary in a big way.

Since The Legend first hit the airwaves in 1987, it has become a lightning rod; a conduit for people who, beyond all contention, believe that they have seen the dogman, or discovered evidence of his existence.

On the pages in this section, you will explore some of the most compelling of these sighting reports. Some are supported by actual physical evidence, others are first-hand accounts, some are second-hand, and a handful are hearsay based on old family folklore. In some cases, contributors have requested anonymity, and we will honor those wishes.
